5 Tips to connect to your "WHY"

My dad used to do this “move.” This lil fist bump and hell yes kinda action, especially after his put closed out the hole under par. It’s funny that I didn’t really notice we share the same silly mannerisms until after he passed away. ⠀

It’s unfortunate that the realization of so many things, mostly this love and connection with my dad came after he passed. Truly, I didn’t have the capacity at the time and when he was with us to even understand what it mean to be part of someone, to be part of something greater than myself, to really honor someone’s existence.⠀

It is the biggest lesson learned through grief and death.⠀

And now, it’s the strongest WHY there ever was. I show up in this coaching & wellness space, in Sweat Remix with so much capacity for love and honor, for my dad, for my family, for my own values, for the entire Sweat Remix Fam and for this world.⠀

Living out a legacy for my dad, of my dad, allowing his goodness and kindness and spirit to live out wholeheartedly through me is a gift. I vow every day to make him proud. To make my mom, my rock, so very proud. ⠀

That’s the best WHY that there ever was.

Connecting to your "why" or purpose is essential for achieving personal and professional fulfillment. When you understand your motivations and values, you can make decisions that align with your goals and aspirations.

Here are some steps you can take to connect with your why:

1. Reflect on your values:

Think about what matters most to you in life. What are your core values? Write them down and reflect on how you can align your actions and decisions with those values.

2. Identify your strengths:

What are your strengths and talents? When do you feel most alive and fulfilled? Reflect on your past successes and achievements and identify the skills and qualities that helped you get there.

3. Consider your passions:

What are you passionate about? What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Think about how you can incorporate your passions into your personal and professional life.

4. Visualize your ideal future:

Imagine your ideal future. What does it look like? What kind of life do you want to lead? What kind of impact do you want to make?

5. Write a personal mission statement:

Based on your reflections, write a personal mission statement that summarizes your values, strengths, passions, and vision for the future. This can serve as a guiding principle for your decisions and actions.

And NOW: Take action: Finally, take action towards your goals and aspirations. Use your personal mission statement as a guide, and make decisions that align with your values and purpose. When you face obstacles or challenges, remind yourself of your why and stay motivated towards your goals.

By connecting with your why, you can gain clarity and motivation in your personal and professional life, and live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Remember, connecting with your why is a process that takes time and reflection. It's important to stay curious and open-minded, and to be willing to adjust your goals and actions as you gain more clarity and insight into your purpose. By connecting with your why, you can find greater meaning and fulfillment in your personal and professional life.
